Plot Synopsis: From teen musicals to the Summer of Love, "Hollywood Rocks the Movies: The Early Years (1955-1970)" chronicles the movies' role in the evolution of rock music. Narrated by Ringo Starr, this two-hour special features performances by rock 'n' roll legends, film clips, trailers, photographs and interviews with Hollywood insiders and rock 'n' roll greats, including Little Richard, Chuck Berry, James Brown, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and The Who. Featured film clips and trailers include "Rock Around the Clock" (1956), "Shake, Rattle and Rock" (1956), "A Hard Days Night" (1964), "Easy Rider" (1969), and more. AMC documentary.
